Something for you.
A page you can come back to whenever you feel like looking at us.
I went through our photos to make this for you. The balcony, the selfies, that day by the lake. I kept stopping to look at them. So this is your birthday present — a few things I don’t want us to forget.
Let’s look back ↓
But then I’d miss the chance to put our photos on a whole website and make you look at them with me.
A page you can come back to whenever you feel like looking at us.
Apparently I wanted to put all of them here.
Open the photos. Read the note. This is meant to take longer than a birthday message.
Pick one.
Tap it. I got a bit carried away.
Couldn’t make your page without them.
I’m starting with the balcony. You know exactly why.
This is where I first met you. Out of all the photos here, this one needed to come first.
One photo clearly wasn’t enough. I’m glad we kept all three.
Not every photo needs a big story. Sometimes I just want a picture with you.
I’m glad we have a photo of this. I’d like another day like it with you.
I had to include this photo. Look at you.
You can probably tell I had trouble narrowing these down.
Keeping this here alongside the photos of us.
I know I’ve already used this photo at the top. I like it enough to keep it here too.
We need to take more photos together. That’s all I’m saying.
Yes, a proper one. The website version doesn’t count.
This bit is for you to read slowly.
Happy birthday. I was looking at that balcony photo again while making this. That’s where I first met you. It feels strange, in a good way, to have a photo of the place where it all started.
And then there are these photos of us together. I like having them. I like that we have things to look back on, and that you’re the person I get to look back with.
I hope you have a really good birthday. I want to be there for the next one too, and for plenty of days in between that aren’t special occasions. I love you. Happy birthday, butterfly.
A website cake counts. I’ve decided.
